Reservation Form for the use of the Rodent Anesthesia Machine Laboratory Animal Resources has a table top rodent anesthesia machine available for PI groups to use. Prior training is required if the PI group would like to use the anesthesia machine without the help of an LAR Veterinarian or Veterinary Technician. Training is provided at no charge to the research group. Use of the rodent anesthesia machine will be charged at $7.00 per every 15 minutes of use. This charge includes the cost of anesthesia, oxygen, and maintenance and calibration of the equipment. The PI group will be responsible for reporting the appropriate time of usage to LAR. You may request the assistance of an LAR Veterinarian/Veterinary Technician to help administer anesthesia. There is a charge of $30.00 per hour for this service.
